What is the typical amount that you'd put into a cash game out of your bankroll? I've heard 1/10th of your bankroll but that seems like a lot to me.
If we are talking 1 table, 5% tops. That would be bare minimum, 20 buy ins for stake you play. That is assuming you are a proven winner, and it will be tough to build from here.
However, if poker is your career, I think a working bankroll of 30 buy ins should be fine, assuming we are single tabling. You can't go off the rocker and lose 10 buy ins in a session either.
I think some career grinders only buy in for 1 or 2%, and that's very conservative. However, more conservative BRM will lead to less stress, and an easier grind.
That's what I think anyway. I'm a live player, so online may be different I don't know, because I only play online for kicks at micros.
