If your bankroll is 10.000 dollars, you have to play only tournements of 100 dollars and less, that is 1% of your bankroll. If your Bankroll come down to 9000, you have to start playing tournements of 90 and less, and so one.
In cash game you have to play with 2% of your bankroll (200 from your 10.000 dollars).
You have to respecte literaly those rules, atherwise you risk to lose all your money quickly.

1% is a good rule..

Risking at most 1% of your BR as a strict rule is excellent BRM.
