Hello everyone! I am worried about one issue. If I win something playing poker, how many money should I cash out, and how many leave for bankroll (in %)?
Thanks

I've read that a good strategy is to payout based on volume, such as you earn 3% of each buyin you play. How do you pay yourself with profit while slowly building your bankroll and making sure to never to broke?

How often do you withdrawal your winnings? Do you wait till you hit a dollar target or do you withdrawal weekly, monthly etc.

it depends on the limit and the type of game you are playing. For example if you play 1.10 MTT your bankroll has to be 100 buy ins so lets say you win a 1.10 tournament and now you have 510 dollars. If you are going to keep playing in this level you can cash out 400 dollars max and keep playing with 110 dollars in this level however if you want to play 2.20 tournaments you should only cash out 290 dollars max and keep 220 dollars to play at this level. In cash games you should keep something like 50 bi and i think that also applies for single tables stt. In multi table stt 100 bi should be plenty enough and if you play hyper turbo stt you will need at least 200bi maybe even more because downswings are huge in hyper turbos.

you can withdraw as much as you want as long as leave an amount consistent with the limit you play, respecting bankroll management

Like all things poker it depends. If you are a social player and don't mind rebuying later, as much as you want. If you are trying to build a bank roll I'd say 100 buy-ins at the level you are playing, maybe 50 buy-ins to the level you aspire to.

That depend on what stake (in cash) and buyin (for tourney) you are comfortably playing.

Whats important is, to left a safe amount that would not pressure me or be in a state of scared poker because of limited BR.

How much profit to keep?

I'm a bit confused on how to manage payouts. I've read that a good strategy is to payout based on volume, such as you earn 3% of each buyin you play. How do you pay yourself with profit while slowly building your bankroll and making sure to never to broke?

Play by the rule of bankroll 2% at a certain limit, and above all get.

Taking Profits

How often do you withdrawal your winnings? Do you wait till you hit a dollar target or do you withdrawal weekly, monthly etc.

I'm not a big fan of keeping more than 5-8 buy ins in my poker account so I have started making regular withdrawals and keeping my bank roll in a special account for poker only.

It probably depends on how easy/reliable/convenient each withdrawl is. I know from Carbon they typically charge after your first withdrawal per certain time period plus they have what seems like a pretty big minimum withdrawal, so it wouldn't be too convenient to withdraw super regularly. Also, the checks take a long time to come and sometimes bounce, so it's quite inconvenient it seems.

It also probably on how reliable your site is. Do you feel comfortable leaving your entire bankroll there or if you have more than 10 buy ins do you get fidgity?

Also, how hard is it for you to deposit? Are there any fees associated or is it time consuming? If so, you'd probably want to take the risk of keeping more bankroll on the site just so if you loose those 5-8 buy ins you don't have to go to all the hastle of reloading.

Depends what stakes you play and type of poker game.

If you play cash games - at least 40- 50 buy-ins, I'd say. At least.
For MTT even more (up to a 100) - beacuse they are more variance affected.

You should follow that in the beggining. Later, when you regulary earn profit at the same stakes - you can modify the rule to having little less buy-ins ;)

I wouldn't cash out, as long as you don't need the money..
