Tilt is one of the toughest challenges to overcome in poker.
I think most losing players might be winners if they could just stay off tilt.
A poker player needs to manage their emotions properly. If you are unable to do this, you will never be a long term winner. It is that simple.
Bad beats will happen. Poker is gambling. However, we are not gambling against the house. We can choose the correct odds
to gamble our money. We can choose great spots where we are much better than 50/50. But we must remember: even if an event is unlikely to happen, doesn't mean that it won't happen.
This is a mistake many amatuers make. They feel when they are a favorite, they are entitled to the pot or something. They feel they deserve to win when they have A-A and they flop a set.
It is impossible to control luck. All we can do is get our money in good, and hope it holds up.
