Taking a break from poker and clearing your head will definitely help. Come back when you are refreshed and ready to play again.

If you want to keep playing, moving down stakes and/or switching games will help you by limiting your losses and getting you into a different mindset.

Be prepared is probably the best advice - losing a lot of hands in a row should not affect you if you expect to have days where nothing seems to go right - this is the price we all pay to play this game.

Good luck to you! :D

doing everything else besides poker usually helps (anything fun) or this might help

after start feeling better, dont play poker straight away

but review the bad play/bad beat from before

after figuring out if its trully bad beat or just bad play

we can start playing poker again :)

I am going through the same thing. Some is bad play, but mostly just cooler hands and bad rivers from 2 out chasers. I did the same thing as you. Get angry, but I try to work through it by trying to recognize that I haven't made a bad situation worse by pushing bad positions and risking the bankroll on tilted play. If your game is solid, trust it, and don't be afraid of the slow steady gains, not the big payoff.

Had many days like that. I start having QQ beat with Q10o and AA beat with AKs, I just call it a day. I try again tomorrow before I throw the computer down the stairs.

I hear the frustration in your post brother, I think all players have been there at one time or another. But all ya can do it to take a breath, shake it off, and hit it again.

You are doing just like I done 4 years ago. All I could do was think about the bad things going on with my game. I would get so mad that I would even play crazy betting on air and bluffing with less. I don't know how much money I lost like that, but it was a lot and everything I could sell to keep playing was gone too. That shit wasn't funny to me and it was even worst on my family. So I only had one choise and that was to find some kind of help. So here I am and everything from the past is gone, and I'm the one in control of my game. I very seldom tilt, but I do and just a week or so ago I seen I was headed down that road again, but I put it in check pretty quick. But back to 4 years ago when I got active here. Someone told me that I had to deal with my inter demons or things would not get better. Hell I didn't know what my inter demons were. But I figured it out, and when I did I come face to face with myself and the deep depression, anger, and I had even come to hate poker. So you know what I did? The only thing I done for 6 months was to work on my tilt problem. At that point I put the past in the damn past and forgot about it. And the only poker I played was our freerolls here. I even won one at ACR and then one at BCP. WOW I was on the top of the world with two small BRs. I've never won another one. Maybe a small cash, but I played 2 years on those BRs And last of all, I play pretty good but most of all I'm happy most of the time, and I'm not letting anything turn me around. Sorry this is so long and GL to you. OH you can do the same.

First thing I do is walk away and focus on anything BUT poker. Once I am able to calmly reassess my play I look at those situations I felt I was unlucky and see if I really just didn't play them wrong. Be honest with yourself and fix any leaks.

Sometimes the beat does not shake so easily(walk away and reproach at the right time). The same as an investment that ended poorly.Everytime i lose holding AA vs Ak - A2 or any thing like that pre its tough.
Timing has everything to do with running good/bad and there is nothing I can change about that.
Just remember any two cards can beat any two cards %'s seem non existent at times.GL

In BadBeat days is complicated. The ideal is to have patience, because it would be much worse you have bad hands. And in cases of BadBeat it is just bad luck. It is impossible to go on like this every hand, so give me a break, cool head, calmly it goes.
Play angry is the worst thing that exists in poker because you make moves that would never do and not think as before by being very nervous.
