Howdy all! Most of you probably don't remember me, but I knocked around here for a while asking loads of questions and generally being a pain. Lots of stuff has happened in my life lately, and as a result I had to defer my poker ambitions, partially because I didn't have sufficient leisure (for different from having sufficient time) and also because I just didn't have the mindset to properly learn.
Recently things have begun to settle down for me. I have more leisure, and so I've decided to re-attempt my studies. I've started reading Super System, hunting for info, playing freerolls, and sampling Full Tilt's Rush poker with the fragments of my old bankroll. So far I've been reading about one hour a day, and playing around 2-3 hours, and making small progress. I play Rush .02/.05 in 100-150 hand increments, starting with $4 each time and more often than not I end up making $.50, $1, or so more than I started with. Needless to say this is a marked improvement versus my last attempts.
Anyhoo, that brings me to my point. What are the general thoughts on Rush poker. It seems like it could be a potential breeding ground for bad habits, though I'm not sure about that. Is it a good way to grow bankroll, and is it conducive at all to development as a player in general? Any helpful tips other than narrowing hand range, playing smart fundamental poker, and being generally careful? Thanks in advance for any advice.
