Back! And With Questions
Howdy all! Most of you probably don't remember me, but I knocked around here for a while asking loads of questions and generally being a pain. Lots of stuff has happened in my life lately, and as a result I had to defer my poker ambitions, partially because I didn't have sufficient leisure (for different from having sufficient time) and also because I just didn't have the mindset to properly learn.
Recently things have begun to settle down for me. I have more leisure, and so I've decided to re-attempt my studies. I've started reading Super System, hunting for info, playing freerolls
, and sampling Full Tilt's Rush poker with the fragments of my old bankroll. So far I've been reading about one hour a day, and playing around 2-3 hours, and making small progress. I play Rush .02/.05 in 100-150 hand increments, starting with $4 each time and more often than not I end up making $.50, $1, or so more than I started with. Needless to say this is a marked improvement versus my last attempts.
Anyhoo, that brings me to my point. What are the general thoughts on Rush poker. It seems like it could be a potential breeding ground for bad habits, though I'm not sure about that. Is it a good way to grow bankroll, and is it conducive at all to development as a player in general? Any helpful tips other than narrowing hand range, playing smart fundamental poker, and being generally careful? Thanks in advance for any advice.
