Hi Guys,

In a live game say around 100 people. How often is a half decent expectation of making the final table/win??

Just working out if some live tournaments are actually worth it or not.

Would 1 out of 20 game be a decent goal?

Just assume as a winning player, not a top pro but someone who grinds consistently into the cash.

Online i'm roughly 30% into the cash but I feel only playing 1 tournament live a week... would that mean 1 out the month I should expect to make something??

I know it's vague and I'm sorry.

Tournament I'm looking to take shots at will be $175 buy-in with a chance of 3k 1st place at around 80... or 100+ is up to 4k for 1st place.

looks like 10th is like $370-$500

Live casino games are softer right with tournaments like this?
Just looking at the best schedule at crown Melbourne... probably prefer deepstack but its $1100 haha so that's a no for now.

Most the pub tournaments the players aren't good but the prizes are bad ... $20 for $175 win but 30-40 players. Another would be $40 to win say $700
another pub tournament is $40 to win say $600 gtd prize pool lol... How can someone ever grind at these to make anything or am I missing something.

Assuming that this game pays 10% of the field, 25%-35% ITM with 10% top 3, would be decent expectations. You'll probably find a lot of chops when down to 5 handed or below and very rarely will you play it all the way out.
