I am reading Small Stakes Hold'em by Miller, Manmuth, and Sklansky, first edition, fourth printing.
I am currently reading the section on limit games.
On page 81, regarding preflop hand selection, the author says that for being in the Big Blind, with a raise in front, he advises to play the "same hands you play from Late position for one bet, except remove ...."
I am confused by the 'one bet' part. Is that 'one bet' the meeting of the basic 'ante' to 'call' the big blind's mandatory raise (such as $2 in 2$/$4 limit) or is the author talking about a voluntaryvoluntary raise after that (now you have $4 in), but not two voluntary raises (which would be $6 in, and would require a premium hand to play tight)?
Thank you.
