one purpose of betting on flop is charging draw.

My question:

If I am holding 33 against AQ
on 2 9 4 board

the pot is going to be 7bb
Heads up pot.

I am first to act ,and everyone holds about 100+bb

if I am betting here, is it kind of charging draws? what do u think the purpose of my betting?
and usually what do u think is the best betting size against potential ....not 6 outs but potential any AKQJ, outs?

thank you in advance!:D:D:D

Is it a c-bet or was he the pre-flop aggressor? If he just called the flop then I'm definitely betting like it was a value bet because you could be representing two pair. If he was aggressor I may check and float a bet if I put him on his actual holdings (A 10-A K). In this case your PP being so low has you in a spot where controlling pot size is more important in my opinion.

Yea..gotta know who raised preflop.

And what are the suits? 2 suited board or no?

For the sakes of this post, lets just say they're not suited.

If I'm villain, and you c-bet something like 1/3 pot I would probably call to see if I can hit a A or Q since most of the time if I do hit I'll have the best hand.

If I'm the villain and I raised preflop and you called and then led out postflop, honestly I would still call if the bet is relatively reasonable. I would think if you had an overpair you would probably check and let me c-bet.

But it's honestly hard to answer without knowing whose in what position and who raised who preflop.

And to the poster above me...how do you represent two pair. You're representing you raised or called a raised preflop with a hand like 9 2, 9 4 or 2 4?

He said he was first to act so I assumed he was the blind and villain called (not raised) BB. I see I did mistakenly say called the "flop" but I meant called the blind....the OP is asking about flop bet action. In this case, where there wasn't a raise and you just check your option in the blind, that is a dream flop for you to represent.

would like to make the preflop whole story

at small blinds 100bb+,
pocket pair have very good implied odds, think 6 handed
small blinds

EP raise 3bb,
I am at small blinds call 33

flop is dry....
EP would have ....two over or big pair or middle pair.

I don't know the reason to bet here.

if by caluculating the chance EP has two holdings.
Ep would have 16 of AK, 16 of AQ, 16 of AJ
4 of KQs
6 of As, 6 of Ks, 6 of Qs.till 6 of the 7s
some times have 4 KJs,QJs,JTs

I think my 33 is a little way a head against
16 AK,+16 AQ+ 16AJ +4KQs + 1/2*(4 KJs+4QJs+4JTs)=58 combinations

33 is way behinds [2 outs for help next two street]
6 of As till 7s= 48 combinations

__________

I would prefer to bet here...but confusing
if I bet, EP only call high pair , I am bluffing
if I bet, EP call two over and to river showdown I am value betting
if I bet, EP call two over with potential to fold on turn 2nd barrel, I am..doing what here???? [ think the reason I gave myself is I am charging draws to pay to see 1 cards for his 6 outs...]

the most confused part is ...what is the best betting size....:D:D:D:D
