The secret is to bluff when you have a weak hand and you believe your opponent to also have a weak hand.

It is hard to bluff when you play loose or fish
If you play tight e.g AK and miss then it is good to bluff

bluffing is one of my weakest points i feel.

Maybe you re bluffing the wrong player. They work against fit or fold kind or loose passive.

Never calling stations, maniacs or LAGs

It's all about getting a read on your opponent if you feel they are tight passive or someone that has shown the ability to be pushed off hands then a bluff could be profitable add the texture of the flop or board in general. Expand off it and show the bluff setting up future big pots when your actually have strong holdings.

Bluff when the opportunity shows you...the opponent need to believe that you got a hit thats better than theirs. but be prepaired for that they got what u want them to have and then it could be nessecary to fold to not lose too much. remember you dont have to go all in to bluff, sometimes it can be more effective with a continuous bluff. watch for their action...if u call someone cause u are waiting for the right card and they hesitate you can often steel the pot by betting cause they might have a weak hand. Its all about the opportunity. You can also bluff the other way and pretend that you have a weak hand so they raise and so on.

Bluffing good but without reason bluffing is not good, you should bluff with some point of hope getting nuts full house flush or straight those cases you can bluff.
You can bluff with draws gotshots on the flop turn if u dont have anyhting you can sometimes have somekind of bluff on river as well but not damaging in your stack.
Size of stack also very cruical for bluffs, you have to manage your bluff bet size, in some cases you can show your bluff to opponents and get fish reputation, to show some false perception and later catch on nuts .
Cauze if u dont show ur weakness they never go all in with you most of cases, need some time make big drama show with bluff to make false wrong reputation among the players at your table afterwards to punish them hard to kick out from the table, there are a lot of stories if to say about bluff......
Bluffs and analyzing the opponents the main part to win poker!

I try to bluff having the perfect combination, but showing that I have nothing and forcing the opponent to increase the pot with a raise and re-raise. If I have nothing at all (even the kicker does not), then only a bluff on the situation and depending on the actions of other players.

Under the right circumstances, against the right stack size, on the right board, against the right opponent, a bluff is an essential part of the game.

Bluffing is really an art. Unfortunately I don't own it. I need to learn.

Bluffing to me is just a minor part of the poker pie . However i think that everyone at some point in time does it. I watch enough live bluffs and on tv the pros actually bluff alot. I think that i had to learn how to bluff rather than just bluffing. There is the ART . I used to think the only way to bluff was to shove all your chips in . Not. I find that when you use a percentage of your stack to build the pot while also representing the best hand is the bet way to bluff (For me). Now however it only works maybe 25% of the time so you have to make sure to keep your losing bluff pots down as best you can and make the 25% the biggest you can. It feels good to get a great bluff in which i tend to show even though most if not all players say don't ever show. All in all your right its a ART but i also think its just a part of the poker pie that will help your game along so that you don't always have to have those monster hands to win tourney. Gl

The art of bluffing, you are so correct! Sometimes you have to bluff because you don't have showdown value and you are 100% sure that if you check the river you gonna lose all of your invested chips in the pot.

Some other times you have to bluff because the builded pot is so vital for your tournament life!! You need to have a read and some blockers to bluff in a safe way. What is the toughest of all is to bluff with air ;)

Do not bluff too often, as in this case, your bluff will cease to frighten opponents, and you will start to lose money.

Having the best hand the other opponent chooses to fold would this be considered bluffing or just the opponent recognizing they were beat then fold the worst hand? I cannot claim a bluff if in-fact I just had the best and the opponent folded unless I know they folded the best hand instead at some point in time?

The opponent folds the best hand by knowing they had the best but conditions surrounding the moment then a movement of a bet from their opponent now brings conditions surrounding them to think instead of knowing their moment? By how the value is understood from both you and your opponents perspective, the movements up to this point of the moment a fragment of the truth from not knowing the absolute.

This movement brings into existence a light of the truth of what to bet, and then from this does this process appear from knowing players abilities in advance prior to this moment? Knowing this more than just a way to bluff or is this just a moment of knowing more than our opponent from the opponent defining their moment of what is false about their play within the moment to allow for a counter move?

This from what we know thus, moving the opponent one level below to becoming the thinker instead of the knower that allows for us to make a movement that the opponent now will fold the best hand by what we know because of what they think, thus, the fold of the best hand? Perhaps this is the definition of what was false of their play rather than giving an explanation of how to bluff?

Perhaps it is our game that is just being ethical about our reads to counter the movement of the thinker instead because our game knows more than that of our opponent’s in this exact moment, perhaps from prior moments of these similar situations? Is a bluff just a movement instead? From the “self” recognizing itself in another?

A mistake in another that we have made ourselves prior to this moment that we know after failing first and now read in our opponent within this moment second that brings into existence the moment of actuality third? The definition of change that just a moment before was a nothing until we made a movement from thinking in the moment then making a movement into the existence of knowing for the first time? An actual small increment of change within our game a ah ha moment?

A pure movement of knowing; from the concept of knowing? How would I recognize how to do this if I was not part of the moment that has folded the best hand prior to knowing because of being an existence of the thinker in these, similar situations prior to knowing? Then working on what is false about my game within these moments of failure? Bluffing is not be learned but to fail then make failure part of why I never bluff because bluffing is a part of who I am because I am never bluffing?

I just get caught within moments when in actuality I was the thinker instead of the knower? I am no more or no less than whom I am at any one point in time simultaneous with itself because the “self” is who I am as a way to acknowledge itself with itself at any one point within any moment a fragment of a moment of a journey of the game absolutely?

bet size

I think the biggest mistake I see with people trying to bluff is they feel they have to go all in even if they have 10X the pot behind them. If you play the hand right you can bluff 75% to pot size bet and get the same effect .If you make a good bet and the other player calls or raises there's a good chance they have you beat . That way you can get away from the hand and still be playing . Yes it is possible they will 3 bet bluff you off your bluff but remember if they 3 bet you have nothing so it doesn't take much to be behind so at this point give it up .

Another good time to try to bluff if the villain bets first and bets 2-3 times the BB with 10 BB in the pot try give him a 75% pot bet he probably doesn't have the nuts and quite often will be bluffing again if he shoves you have to let it go but was worth a shot.

Don't ever bluff when you are short stacked you cant afford it and you will likely get called by mediocre hands because you don't have enough to seriously hurt opponents chip stack so quite often you will get multiple callers and someone will have you beat

A successful bluff is a function of an established table image relative to the players in the action, your position, the cards on the table, your stack size, your opponents, your established range and your estimate of your opponent's ranges.

The artistry comes from establishing doubt or over-confidence in your opponent's perceptions so that you can exploit via a bluff.

The fewer people at the table the more you need to bluff, there are players with any cards go to the end just to see with what you've played and there is no sense to apply a bluff against these players

Bleff poker is a real art of) I prefer to bluff but infrequently do it, because in most cases it is no good does not. Maybe I did not reach the real skill in the art of, so it is thinking. But I take this action with caution!
to bluff should be very good understanding of the opponents against whom it is directed, and feel good about the game

Bluff is so important in poker! But it is so dangerous too.

If you can read oponent moves you are able to bluff a lot. But take care. Many times you should to hold the bluff and could cost the tounament
