AQs Vs. 88 Vs. 8% range?

Hi guys.

I downloaded Poker Sniper (an App kind of like Pokerstove) for my phone and have been playing around with it on work, to get more familiar with ranges etc. The following puzzles me and I wonder if someone can give a simple explanation or check if they get similar results in pokerstove.

When I compare AQs aganist pocket 8, the 8's are a tiny favourit to win.
When I compare AQs against an 8% range, AQs is 50/50 to win.
But when I compare 88 against an 8% range the pocket 8's are a big dog and they don't start holding up until the range is something like 16%.

I can see that there is alot of tied result between AQs and 8% range, but not as many % points as there is between 88 and 8% if this makes sence. I can imagine the whole thing has got something to do with this tie thing but I'm confused (and I'm sorry if I've confused you too)

Anybody able to help unpuzzle this?

It's because of the %s vs various combos. Against an 8% range, 88 is flipping a lot of the time, but a big dog vs a higher pair, and never facing a lower pair. So the pair vs overpairs drag the overall win % down below 50%

Against the same 8% range, AQs is flipping against 88-JJ, But it dominates more hands (AJ AT KQ et al) than it's dominated by (AK), which balances out the times the opponent has AA-QQ.

Ok, cheers. I just assumed that if ATC were 50/50 against each other the would hold up equally well against a certain range, but you have explained very well and I am a bit less confused
