Playing 2NL ring cash game early in session. Flop raised by UTG+1 everyone folds to me on button, I 3b with AQo and he 4b - I fold...
Right or wrong? happy to hear arguments for and against that. Did not have a read or stats on the villian. Both 100 bb stacks.
My thoughts: An early raise & 4b obviously represents a very strong hand. I figured that I would be way behind even vs a medium pair (which in that case villian played very wrongly). If he had called, I suppose that wouldn't have helped either come the flop, so maybe I should have folded to his raise immediately? But that feels wrong too, considering I was on the button and this is, after all, micro stakes.
