I love to play the game, but it can be a killer or money makes. There are few people play this game at a cash table, so really hard to get up a game. But almost every evening there is a low ball game on Carbon. A-5 or 2-7

I have played a Badugi freeroll, but I haven't played in a while. You play pokerstars? Wanna both follow each other during the Weekly Round 2 Brahe's Badugi Freeroll?

First, let me freshen up the rules with myself.

BADUGI is a drawing game.

Drawing here is somewhat hard.

Have a solid grasp of starting hands.

I only play Badugi in Pokerstars freerolls. For some reason I like Razz and 2-7 games more, but those Badugi freerolls gave me several Weekly Round 2 tickets so I play it sometimes. Though definitely it's not type of a game I'll play with real money buy-in.

Yeh badugi is fun however playing it in a freeroll doesn't do the game any justice whatsoever given the fact that a lot of the players are just mashing the pot bet button. To get a real feel of the game you'd have to try it out in a real money buy in situation

I just bought the Ken Lo Mixed Games book and the first section is on FL Badugi. I noticed that there was a game in the January series of the PSO homegames and so read the chapter. Got into the game and it turned out to be Pot Limit so tried to find a PL Badugi strategy online to no avail. I came 23 out of 32 in the end but was totally clueless on it... Would like to play more but there don't seem to be many games available... although someone on here said there were play money games available

It's a fun game. I love to play it but don't play it often. Every once in awhile, @ a home "dealers choice" game, someone will pick that game. Normally, there are pretty nice pots during it because everyone calls, calls, calls HaHa

Well, it's a few years ago but I used to play Badugi almost every day for a while.
Microstake PL and FL tournaments.
Not many runners...if I remember well just about 20-25 in those days.
I binked a few and basically made small money with it, but I quit playing them because they just took to much of my time and they started boring me.

What I do remember....in the micro's a lot of players keep calling and drawing against the odds.
Though, there were some good regs than who still play them I guess because for them it's easy money against an ever changing player pool with new players who have no doubt.

It happened several times people asking in the chat what is the best hand in Badugi.
Easy targets obviously.

One of the base tactics in Badugi is snowing, but you should have reads/notes on players to know when to use it.
I would not recommend it when blinds are low and in FL it's not so useful as in PL.

Oh, and remember not only your own odds are important....you really also have to count your opponents odds.
A low 3-card is favourite against an opponent still drawing 2 on the last draw.

If you're new to the game I recommend though to only play strong starting hands and avoid trying to be tricky.

And make notes...you'll soon find out who the regs are, but more important....you really want to know which players are spewy....calling and raising every hand and than drawing 3 cards etc...

I yesterday played my first badugi with Poker School Series ticket and I won 20th place with no trouble, I had to play 3 hands to figure out how it works and I really liked it, it's very good type of poker for new players, especially limit badugi. I'm actually bankroll grinder, and I'm denying to deposit until I make at least 20$ :) but yesterday I entered winning 25 without any hardship and earned 0.22$.
I have just one question, which cards do you throw at start, I played every single hand, maybe thrown 1 or 2 hands with Q Q J 10, or something like that, and where can I play it more often? :D
