Well, it's a few years ago but I used to play Badugi almost every day for a while.
Microstake PL and FL tournaments.
Not many runners...if I remember well just about 20-25 in those days.
I binked a few and basically made small money with it, but I quit playing them because they just took to much of my time and they started boring me.
What I do remember....in the micro's a lot of players keep calling and drawing against the
odds.
Though, there were some good regs than who still play them I guess because for them it's easy money against an ever changing player pool with new players who have no doubt.
It happened several times people asking in the chat what is the best hand in Badugi.
Easy targets obviously.
One of the base tactics in Badugi is snowing, but you should have reads/notes on players to know when to use it.
I would not recommend it when blinds are low and in FL it's not so useful as in PL.
Oh, and remember not only your own odds are important....you really also have to count your opponents odds.
A low 3-card is favourite against an opponent still drawing 2 on the last draw.
If you're new to the game I recommend though to only play strong starting hands and avoid trying to be tricky.
And make notes...you'll soon find out who the regs are, but more important....you really want to know which players are spewy....calling and raising every hand and than drawing 3 cards etc...
