I will be glad to play with yours.
Love Razz....hate Razz......it's such a lovely but pretty often such a frustrating game....
I can only qualify myself as an amateur though, so I reall cannot give some advanced tips.
For every beginner though.....really train yourself.....your memory, so you remember the openfaced cards out.
Razz is a game where you can have a high efficiency bluff rating, bluffing the right people in this game will almost always work, because most of the time you are bluffing that you have just 1 extra card that makes your hand a monster (and can be 1 of like 3 cards) so definitely learn to bluff more often in the right situations (especially in tournaments)
Razz is a game that can change on a dime, you can go from having someone crushed. to being crushed, to having a monster throughout the course of the hand. Its pretty swingy at times, especially in cash games. This is why the bluff is so effective. Since its a limit game, this also means you can make a lot of value calls, or bets, because a lot can change in an instant (though if you start with KKK, obviously you wont go any further, and so on).
With all of this in mind, you can also assume that a good fraction of time your opponents may be bluffing.
Memory is key in this game as is in all stud games. You must be well versed in remembering what cards have been folded by other players as it strengthens your math in value calling draws. Practice this at home with a deck of cards, it does help.
The only other advice I can give you is have a bottle of Motrin laying nearby because you will surely have a headache before the end of the session.
Good luck
I played a couple of times. I did not like
Pretty simple game razz, I wouldn't see a need to go too in depth on the strategy of the game, just play strong hands and bet when you know you're ahead, bet when the cards your opponents see are better than the cards you can see of your opponents and raise at the start of the hand when you are showing a low card and everyone else has a high card showing
hehehe,,,,basically this is the perfect beginners-guide for playing Razz
I almost wish all guides were that straightforward.
Does any more really need to be said? I've played a lot of razz over the years but I don't feel there's an awful lot of in depth strategy needed to be said.
