Poker Book recommendations

Hello,

Im wondering could you suggest me a poker book. Im into the game, so its good not to be starting book, cause i know all the words, positions and things about the game.

I want to learn some thesys about the Hold'Em. Also teach me some new strategies and help me improve my skills.

I didnt read any poker book before, so its good to suggest me some.
Also its good to find them online.

So what you would suggest me to read? :)

Right now i'm reading Power Holdem Strategy by Daniel Negreanu. About half way through it atm but so far it's been a very good read. Lots of tips for playing online poker from some of the best players in the world. Would highly recommend.

Power Hold-em as previously mentioned is good. I also like the Harrington on Hold-em Series. If you are a real fan of poker and can stomach it, Skalansky's The Theory of Poker is a great but very dry read.

Getting the most from literature.

What one book has helped your poker game more than any other?

for me personally, Advanced Concepts of Poker: A Guaranteed Income for Life by Frank Wallace. It takes a different approach from the average book taking you alongside a grinder who runs home games and travels to casinos. The depth in which he studies his opponents, their incomes, the game, cheating, awareness and the way he explains his methods of keeping players in the game, not giving too much info, and taking proper notes and adjustments really showed me how much effort people are putting into poker and gave me motivation to start being more mindful with my playing and learning. It still does have standard hands and quizzes/explanations on hands and ranges but it isn't the main focus of the book.

Are you playing Live or online if Live one of the best beginners lessons I found was Mike Caro's book of tells .

Also check out poker stars online poker school it is very helpful to beginners . You can download pokerstars from the poker room section of the forums. It is free school and you can play free till you feel you've progressed enough to switch to real money

Depends on your current skill level, Harrington on hold'em V1 and V2 were good reads both for the basics and a bit more advanced level. It might be a bit dated but it covers a great deal of subjects for NL tournaments. Was my first as well.

i found the mathematics of poker the best book i ve read. It is kinda advanced and mathematically... i heard from people with only high school matmetics it is a hard one to understand, but if you had a basic course of statistic at a uni or some game theory from economics.. it is not hard to understand. it will provide you with clear mathematical awnsers about allmost every aspect of the game. So i found it more detailed and explaining the principels of the game far more, then like books that stated how to play vs calling stations, maniacs, tight players etc...

also odds and probabilities is the most usefull book, not for the strategies, but it has like all odds tables in it, just handy to have it all in one book

i also read heads up no limit hold 'em , turned me into a winning heads up player at the lowest stakes...
