any books on PLO/8?

I am currently wanting to play a different game online, and was thinking maybe PLO/8.... it seems like the waters are a bit more fishy there (with myself included right now) and if there were any good reads on taking advantage of that

1) I doubt the waters are any more fishy than PLO. And your edges are smaller (but you'll get them a little more often, so meh).

2) The only book on Omaha 8 that I've read was Ray Zee's book, and that's geared towards limit play. I believe one of Hwang's book has a section on the game, but I'm not entirely sure.

3) Any game where nittiness preflop is heavily rewarded bores me...

I'm not aware of any good books devoted to plo8. I wish there were as I actually enjoy this game quite a bit. There is some stuff out there for LO8, but I'm not aware of anything dedicated to PLO8. Awhile ago I even searched the site here for good stuff devoted to PLO8. Just not much out there anywhere that I'm aware of.

Seems like the IDEAL game to me . Different strokes, I guess.....

i havent read it yet but "Winning omaha/8" by Lou Kreiger and Mark Tenner has been recommended to me...

Thanks, I'll check it out. I am learning to play pretty tight and am actually showing a profit at the 5$PLO/8 tables on bovada right now.

Not sure, but I believe that book is dedicated to LIMIT O8, really wish I knew of a good PLO8 book.

i have heard that there is a recent edition that is updated and possibly has some plo 8 in it

Yeah, that's a problem with a lot of these books. They'll be devoted entirely, or almost entirely, to LO8 and if PLO8 makes it in at all, it's as a afterthought and really gets little/no coverage. I really wish there was (or I knew of) a good book devoted entirely to PLO8 which would cover a lot of things LO8 books never talk about since the games are so different. Trying to use a LO8 book to teach yourself PLO8 is like trying to use a LHE book to teach yourself NLHE.
