Hello Poker Community,

I started to get back into poker full time after stepping away for a few months. I tried to play low limit online cash games and sit n gos but busted my account 4 times and I decided that I should get back into 1/2 NL cash games at fox-woods. I try and go every 2 weeks (2x a month) but lately the last few times I have been felted and I feel as though I have no more confidence in my game. For example, I would get easily put off the best hand and forced to fold and then seeing the other players cards, I would have totally smashed them. I was just wondering if people had any tips/ tricks to get me back onto the right track, whether a suggestion of a book to read or anything else.

thanks Guys

lower buyins for awhile til confidence comes back
(you dont use bankroll management I guess if you bust online acct 4 times) learn BRM

the games getting more aggressive, maybe you should too?

Live poker is generally easier than online, so you need to start winning at that. Downswings are part of the game no matter how good you are, but if watching videos or reading books would help to boost your self-confidence then that's possibly the best way to proceed.

Although the video below starts off sounding a bit like a kindergarten teacher talking to 5-year-old kids, in the section starting at 12:28 it does explain why aggression is so important, even when you miss the flop:

Ed miller's small stakes holdem would likely be a good read for you with the live cash games.

Try searching the forum (there is a search button up along the menu bars that works well, try searching live cash or stuff like that) as such a question has certainly been asked a number of times so should be some great threads that already have tips you would be looking for.
