I'm trying to sharpen my game, I win a ton of pots but half of the time I lose enough to just break even. I seem to be a little hesitant to pull the trigger unless I have the nuts or 2nd-3rd nuts. I have so many hands where they hit their draw on the river, where I flop 2 pair or a set, and I could have likely bet them off of it. It seems like when I try to keep them off their draw, they already have the made hand. I've been looking at my stats here on CPS and they tell you a WHOLE lot more info than full tilt.

Okay, so theres no copy to clipboard option. I took screen shots of my stats for tonight's session, as well as my overall stats. I hope someone can help me decipher exactly what they mean.

What should I be focusing on?

*for the record* I had a hell of a time getting my screen shot into the size contraints for bmp images, I eventually just saved it as gif files. Shoulda done that to begin with I suppose...

It's hard to tell from the stats I would say from what it looks like on here you play to many hands and are a passive player who likes to call more then bet or raise the problem with this style is that you will be calling to much preflop and having to fold the flop way to much. Work on betting more preflop and cut down the hands you play gl at the tables. Also semi-bluff and bluff sometimes if your only betting your made hands it will become obvious what your doing.

In the future use JPG or JPEG as they have the largest size allowances on the forum.

With these stats who can really tell what is going on as they appear to be stats for all your actions on every street, typical stats from poker clients - just for show and not useful. You need to save your hand histories and get a tracker that will process the hostories and give you stats pre-flop, flop, turn & river.

Here is what I mean by worthless stats, 1st screen shot shows it is for 1906 hands and yet it says you folded 1353 times, checked 1388 times which right there adds up to more than 1906.

Well it looks like its not hard to tell, because thats exactly how I play. I do semi bluff some times but only with hands that have huge probabilities. Also you're right I play WAY too loose before the flop, I'm willing to call a lot of small raises before the flop and most of the time it seems I lose them. Thanks for the advice I appreciate it.

Yes I was looking into poker tracker 3 or whatever it is, but I cant afford the subscription. Are there any good free ones that I should check out? I think it'd really help my game, but I just don't have anymoney to cover it.

Well theoretically you can check 3 times on any hand, or re-raise a hell of a lot, more than 10 times.. Right?

Yea, hard to read those stats. EX. Won in showdown 126-6.6%. Not telling you much there as it's out of all hands played.
What you want is how many times/% you won at showndown. Ex. went to shown and won % -went to showndown 100 times and won 65% of the time. Those numbers have more meaning. (note-65% a good number but getting on the high side)
This is also a small sample size.

HEM and PT3 both have free trials and they are not subscriptions, it's a one time charge for the program.

Ah yeah, I just DLed PT3 and started the free trial but it turns out the site I use, CPS, isn't supported currently and I can't transfer my cash to full tilt for 2 1/2 more months. Bummer!
