OK, so Im really struggling where top begin with this.
I have PT4 and poker strategy Equillab, but

I have no idea where to begin with analysing my hands post session, what should I be doing, what should I look for, what questions should I be asking myself when going over them?

Thanks

Hi Mick! Welcome to Cardschat.

I don't know what PSE is, but I have PT4 and use it regularly. Here's what I do to review a session:

  • I mark hands during play (there's a Mark for Review feature on your table's HUD)
  • PT4 has a Reports tab where you can review hands that have been marked for review. I run that report and then do a replayer of all those hands.
  • I also do a replayer for a report of all my big win hands and then my big loss hands
  • Often during the review of the replayer, you see things you didn't notice during the actual hand.
  • I post hand histories here on CC of hands where I'm not sure how I played, how I bet-sized, whether my actions were correct, etc.
  • Once you have a large enough sample size (I'd say 6,000 as a bare minimum, and around 10K is best), I look at my stats from PT4 and see how I'm trending. If you aren't sure what those stats mean or which ones are "good" you can post them here for review by forum members.

I just go back through hand history on sites sometimes and review hands and how I played them. Really baffle myself sometimes looking at my previous mistakes.
