What is your best system for dealing with this.
With blinds increasing as fast as every 2 minutes there's definitely a certain amount of desperation in these games. And the action certainly has an affect of frustrating me, so there must be some sense in the madness.
You quickly need to increase your stack the play is the loosest I have come across. I'be had my pocket AA knocked out in these games.

So is it just random luck to win in these tourneys or is there a system to win or at least last longer?

It can be random luck and often it is. However, I consistently get further and further into these freerolls the more I learn. You can't be too invested in the freerolls or you'll just get all out of shape from watching to dipshits get huge stacks by playing like dipshits. I sometimes join in the allin preflops at the beginning of the freerolls if I'm dealt a good starting hand. Why not? If it's at the beginning of the game then I don't have a lot of time invested in it, and I may end up with 5000 chips that I can sit on for a long time if I choose to. It's bs play though, you won't learn anything playing like that. You MAY win a a quarter or a dime or a dollar, but that's irrelevant if you're not somehow learning how to play a serious game. I play freerolls now mostly to practice what I've been reading about. Though, it's often hard to when I'm constantly forced to go allin if I want to see a flop. But still, I do it, and sometimes I get to add a few pennies to my little change collection I use for buy-ins to micro tournys.

Thanks for the reply that's good advice, I'm actually using these tourneysas practice to get more experience, more play. But I think your right I'll look for a different cheap game to increase my experience on.

When you get a chance try out a $1 tournament and compare it to the freerolls. After I had a few dollars from freerolls I decided to spend one on a tournament and immediately recognized a big difference in the way people were playing. There is still some goofing off in the $1 tounaments, but there are a lot more serious players there than in the freerolls and you can actually learn and practice what I consider real playing. I'm still a noob though, so...
I got ate up in that first $1 tounament because I thought it was going to be just like a freeroll, just with more and bigger payouts, but nope, there's a difference. I felt like a bucket of chum, but I actually learned a couple moves during that tournament also. Yes, I was on the losing side that time, but I recognized afterwards that I was being toyed with and was later able to begin practicing using the same tactics myself.

I would say luck to get past the first Allin with a big hand then I would say being a bit tight after getting a few chips is a good play . What frustrated me was the big stack never settle in these games they continue going Allin on bad hands and winning .
