Would you ever consider calling an all-in after the flop if you have a straight and flush draw and would be getting paid 3:1 or 4:1?

It depends on the stack sizes. If its a straight flush draw then I would probably call it every time if you're not too deep. It kinda also depends on what the pre-flop raises were like. Theres a possibilty that the guy hit a set or something so he could end up with a full house which would obviously negate your flush and your straight.

If I've got a OESD and flush draw on the flop I'll usually go all in if I was the raiser preflop. If not I'll check call til I hit, calling all in if necessary. But stack size is a pretty big point of concern... if I was sitting with 50+ BB then I'd be a lot less likely to make the call.

If you have a straight and a flushd raw... then you are the favorite to win! Unless the other person has a better hand at the moment plus going for the same straight or flush but higher. So this means that you should definitly call, even if your being paid 1 to 1, not to mention 3 to 1 or 4 to 1. Now if someone raises a large amount, way bigger than the pot, giving your pot odds to be very slim, consider what is going on cause you could still very well be a favorite. For someone to do such a move he or she has to have an excelent hand and think you might just call for some insaine reason... might have a good hand and doesn't want you to catch... or is just on tilt or is mentally ill. If you have both draws, and you don't think he has something like a trio... and even if he does have a trio... you could still possibly call depending on how much he or she raised compared to the pot. The point is that you usually HAVE TO call with a straight and a flush draw... in texas holdem that is.

Cash or tourney? In a cash game this shouldn't even be a question. In a tourney I would most likely call it everytime. If you were first to act pushing would have been the way to go. Being the favorite plus fold equity it a strong situation.

Tourney:
I would call every time.

That being said most things are Situational.

I like the call. I probably would not auto call for my tournament life in the right situation I would look for a better opening. Just me though.

Like Roller said all things are situational. But, more times than not you will be favored with the flush and an open ended straight draw. I'm calling.

To me it all depends on stack sizes. If your opponent has 20 or less big blinds then for me its an insta call because with that stack size, the opponent could be pushin any pair. However, once the stack size gets to be over 30, than you may be up against bigger hands and some of your outs may help the opponents hand

Not only would I consider calling if getting correct odds, I would also consider shoving if the shove was the equivalent size of the bet I was prepared to call.

How big are my flush and straight draws? My concern would be that even if I hit I might not be good, especially on the flush if it is only 6 or 7 high. But as others have said it depends on stack sizes, your opponent and how deep in the tourney you are. If its cash then I more cautious so probably not calling.

agreed. with that said, based solely on the number outs:

straight draw, no; flush draw, yes; straight-flush draw, yes.

I'd hate to double up a short stack unnecessarily.

i think you would have to give us the specifics if you are in a tournament i wouldnt go all in on a draw unless i had a 2 to 1 chip lead against that player. Also it would have to depend on how many players are in that player how many players are in that tournament. But i do like taking chances on flushes and draw but 90% of the time i would go all in on a flush draw unless i had a ace high flush draw.

i would consider calling it if i have many chips left after i call !
i cant lay it down no matter what open straight and flush draws are huge draws and sud not be folded unless u get very bad pot odds and its not worth the risk !!

I think this situation definitely depends greatly on the situation and game type. If its a tourniment it depends on how far into it you are I like to take risks early and late. If its a cash game and i could afford to call I would have to think about what my oppenant might have but I'd probably end up calling and miss every out lol.

I would, and I have.
If your saying and open end straight draw (8 outs), and the nut flush draw(9 outs) with 4:1. Everytime.
