re: Poker & All in on a draw?
If you have a straight and a flushd raw... then you are the favorite to win! Unless the other person has a better hand at the moment plus going for the same straight or flush but higher. So this means that you should definitly call, even if your being paid 1 to 1, not to mention 3 to 1 or 4 to 1. Now if someone raises a large amount, way bigger than the pot, giving your pot odds
to be very slim, consider what is going on cause you could still very well be a favorite. For someone to do such a move he or she has to have an excelent hand and think you might just call for some insaine reason... might have a good hand and doesn't want you to catch... or is just on tilt or is mentally ill. If you have both draws, and you don't think he has something like a trio... and even if he does have a trio... you could still possibly call depending on how much he or she raised compared to the pot. The point is that you usually HAVE TO call with a straight and a flush draw... in texas
holdem that is.
