Is this seriously how your going to build your posts? Are you playing tournament or NLRG? What seat are you in? What info do you have on your opponent? What color are his eyes? Lastly but not least. What was his mother's maiden name? All good questions. Not as good as yours but..................

Barring any other information, it's tough to make a read. If it's someone that is constantly raising pre-flop and you're not risking a bulk of your stack, then yes I would call. But Lefty's point is you need a lot more information then just I have AK and got raised to make an educated decision.

What the others said. If the guy is the button calling a folded table to your BB, then yes, call. If he's been tight, in mid position with 2 limpers and a pot raiser behind him, maybe, maybe not. Plus... What exactly do you mean by 30% of pot? Calling the blinds? If so, that's probably a reasonable average percentage, if not fairly tight.
