Are you're asking if you should raise, call, go all-in, or fold when you have AK?

The answer is: yes.

Not really helpful, huh? If you want a more direct answer, give us a more direct question. Give us situations where you had AK or post hand histories you were unsure of. That way, you can get more of a concrete answer.

Well said, how can others give advices if they've no idea how was the situation :)

Well, I play mostly low stakes and maybe this is something typical for inexpierenced players, I very often see AK being absurdly high raised preflop... A lot like 10x the BB which I think is really stupid... Without hitting one of those on the flop, you really have nothing and draw dead. I would just 3bet those cards preflop and I hope some weaker ace or king might join the hand...

This is also dependent on situation. You can always call in position if you don't want to play a big pot, but if you have 4 bets in front of you just fold. If you're new to the game, raise and call all shoves.

AK's real value is pre-flop. It doesn't play that well. If you are playing against the donks, it should be really profitable. As you move up, people play less A/trash and can fold a hand. They are less likely to put all their chips in with top pair/garbage.

If you are losing 12 of 15 hands with AK, you are simply misplaying your hand. You could be over playing it, you could be underplaying it, you could be too passive with it, but as OhShoot posted, we don't have enough info to specifically find the leak.

All in will go from my game, most times, again thanks for input

the key to playing this hand is watching other players bets and trying to analyze if they've hit trips to your two pair on the flop or if they have pocket aces from preflop and go all in. In order to best play AK you have to know your opponents. Just because u hit an ace on the flop doesnt assure a win.

AK is a strong hand, but sometimes you just throw it out, a lot of players go all-in and many times do not play such a card you need to watch the flop and then decide what to do, everyone has an opinion of who plays osisively and who plays weakly with AK

AK are very unreliable and ungratetul cards, for me K9, Q9 and J9 are much better cards than AK!!

AK is not stronger A7-9 I would not advise to go all in.. to make a raise to see a flop and then have to go all in, seeing an ACE or king on the flop is correct

Playing AK off suit, going all in.

I think, I understand your question. For me, I rarely go all in with A K unsuited. If possible, try to raise to get rid of the guys trying to match their low hands. And try to see the flop. Then make decisions on all the factors that your aware of....
