hope this is in the right place. ive been playing mostly online for years with the occassional penny games with the buds where i used to live, nothing big. well recently i found out a little bar where i live has started a private cash game with 25.00 buyin..for me personally this is a big step for me beings it will be my first experience at this level and im sure it will be different than playing with my usually drunk buddies.lol. .any advice on how i should approach this and what to look for would be helpful. it is nlhe and the first 2 games had average of 20 to 30 players..i was told the starting chips is 5k. no rebuy as of now but they are considering it due to low number of turn outs and would fatten the pot...my thinking is that most of the players are online players like myself because i live in the middle of nowhere and if i had a different strategy it might help me in the long run..just saying..then again i may be wrong but dont want to look like an idiot my first time around.:banghead:

Just play tight and get comfortable. First real live play is always tough but you'll get used to it.

as said above i would rather start at lower stakes but where i live just being able to play a cash game its the only option for now.25.00 buyin. maybe once i get to know some of the people might be able to get a different game going. thanks for advice ,im a pretty tight player but i know i will have to overcome the being nervous part.

25 buyin is low for live play. Most casinos tournaments are a lot higher buy ins than that. In the tournament be patient and try to get good reads on your opponets.
