Adv. Playing Out of Position?

I always love to try to find new dynamics to the game because I love poker.

What about playing out of position?
a.) You can take the betting lead and bet a flop we think the opponent's range missed. Or perhaps it looks like it would be in our range.
b.) We can check-raise bluff if the opponents bet seems weak or if we are sure the flop looks like our range.
c.) We can use Johnny Chans move:

We have 8-9s. Opponent opens on the button and we 3-bet from small blind, looking strong like a A-x s or perhaps A-9-A-Q and sometimes AK
Flop comes 6-3-5
Opponent thinks we missed. However, we also could have 3-bet with 66 or 55.
Opponent calls.

Flop is 10-6-x

WE CHECK (Johnny Chan move)

Opponent bets and we call. Turn comes 8s to match our flush draw.
We bet out. Opponent gets confused and raises.. WE SHOVE.

I don't mind playing out of position but it's not an advantage, playing a hand in position is always better. If your good at playing out of position though you can pick up pots that others would and not bleed chips when you hit the 2nd best hand. When you play out of position you must have a good read on your opponents range and you need to pick your spot carefully to make moves. 3 betting a button raise from the SB doesn't look strong, it's probably the most common spot to squeeze from.

Playing out of position can be done if you play confidently and ensure you know what hand you are representing throughout the play.

Helps if you have a good read on your opponents as well.

I'd rather play in position most of the time though.

Playing with others in mind should also allow for your own dynamic switches from other prior plays from your own experience based on the abilities of your opponents.

My moments come from playing up to a line with opponents then watching for example are the opponent(s) whether you are playing in or out of position should only matter for the other player(s) because of how the game of others have been defined by them through either a natural course of dynamics of hands or the player(s) defining them for you through their natural course or dynamic switches to make them define their position up to the real time moment of decisions.

This includes sequence betting to induce bluffs that are just that or OOP players that will bet all draws on turn with checking the flop so, this leaves room for re-raising based on prior experience of moments versus prior moments with players.

Checking good or bad hands OOP when the same or other opponents in position will always c-bet into my style this leaves room to make stronger moves OOP that either mirrors opponents in previous moments or switches dynamics against an induced bluff being OOP for example.

For my style my moments are worked on away by journaling then applying in cheap games with regulars that slum down into cheaper games, then extending moments at my leisure to then further dynamic switches or play within setups of prior dynamic switches that are based on abstract abilities of opponents that have to now think more than they know for example.

This allows position for my style to become a nothing, which allows for limping, being a call station then using known dynamic switches to show straight forward play that would then induce F.U.D.; fear, uncertainty, and doubt in my opponents. F.U.D. is a Barry Tanenbaum term. I enjoy doing what is the worse for my game to become better, and this is why I work on the worst of my game this equals fun for me.

This allows for creation of many end game moments because the need to have many end game moments based on not just mine, but that of my opponents different abstract abilities.

The downside is losing value in the beginning but making value later based on what is known more than opponent(s) versus volume hands dealt that are opposite of my opponents or crushing their range versus the abstract.

I think position allows a player to gain additional information. The more information a players has the more the player wins.

In the most extreme example you get to make a decision.....Pick one!

Choice A: You know very little about your opponent's and must decide to check or bet.

Choice B: You know considerably more about your opponent's hand and must decide to check or bet.

I believe the above reply is great advice for new players, but a basic strategy can be broken like a basic code for example, or the strategy can become just a break even proposition. So, at some point it needs to go beyond just repeating what pros tell us, for example our own experience as well with the support of a pro's video or information from books.

Playing out of position and good when we read the villain if he opens very light button and cutoff there we checked if he folds too much for 3bet light and for cbet if it fits in that reading we can always play against him 3-bet light and 100% Cbet We will always pull the worthless pot of showdonw many times I think.

Just like AA will make one the most money over a long sample, so will playing in position. But getting good at playing out of position definitely is something I need work on. Interesting points you have playing out of position.
