I've been playing these 10$ freerolls on ACR all day. I had some good deep runs including a 13th and 17th place finish. But I'm always going out on the bubble. And at that point everybody is just shoving so if I don't have all in cards I don't bother calling at all. None the less I'm consistently going out on the bubble. Any advice?

I don't play those games as I find the grind against that field to be too aggravating. Just gotta pick your spots and take the lead when you have the goods. There are many other better freerolls you can get yourself into.

The ACR $10 on demand freerolls aren't very good. There are 1000 players for a $10 prize pool. You can equate this to a 1 cent buy-in that the site is paying for each of the players.
The Cards chat freerolls are much better. There is a prize pool of $100 and usually about 50 to 100 players. This equates to the site paying $1 to $2 buyin for each of the players.
WAY TO GO CARDS CHAT. You are 100 times better than most "open" freerolls.

Obviously the CardsChat freerolls are better. Obviously.. But the the ACR freerolls run all day and are absolutely free on a site you don't have to deposit on to make a withdrawal. Not all of us have access to the CardsChat freerolls yet. Free is free

While freerolls are nice to boost the bankroll, they are also great ways to gain experience. The more consistent you become playing deep into a tournament, the more you will become comfortable playing late stage strategy. You will also gain confidence that you will be successful entering money tournaments. I try not to look at freerolls and ITM%, because those $ are generally minimal at best.

Watch what people are shoving with and when you think they are shoving light and you have a good hand call, a lot of people take advantage of people playing too tight on the bubble, especially if you know you won't make the money by folding.

Read Kill Phil? I'm not really a tournament player, but I know there are several good Multi table tournament books out there that are great reads.

You gotta know your push/fold ranges for short stack play. If people are shoving light, call wider.

I agree with this.

And it's good practice for less experienced NL players.

Plus it's a lot better than the freerolls on Stars where you're up against 10.000 instead of 800.

Right. Not mention the field cut to like 400 in the first 15 minutes lol

I am honestly surprised by all of the sensible responses here. Most freeroll threads are full of people saying something along the lines of "give up and deposit" or "play only CC freerolls". Everyone here has made a good point.

I would also suggest conversing with and following the threads of CardsChat users who have taken on their own freeroll challenges. Though not on ACR, Mason Pye is at a current peak of $420 from playing freerolls. Pokerman64 is an experienced player who is currently grinding ACR freerolls exclusively, to much success. He also occasionally streams on Twitch. Both of these players have proven their dedication, patience, and moxie in the realm of freerolls.

Another thing to note is that the min-cash in the freerolls is exactly the buy-in for the $25 GTD On Demand. The $25 GTD always has a much smaller field and a much larger pay-out structure. It could be in your interest to build to a point where you can take shots at the $25 GTD. My personal strategy is to play one $25 GTD every time I am able to cash a freeroll. Another option is to build your bankroll until you are sufficiently rolled for the next level, at which point you can effectively "grind" the $25 GTDs. Do whatever suits your mental state.

If you are playing well enough to get deep in the freerolls, then I believe you will soon enough see many final tables.

the playing field got much bigger now that they got 3 sites running all together. you have to play through 800 players average now just to win 2.50. Just make a deposit on acr/bcp/true and play the micro tournaments if you are starting off... The time spent playing freerolls isn't gonna cut it.

If you really are getting deep then you're doing something right. Just be patient and watch what people are willing to shove with. If the same person is shoving back to back hands and you land a hand that you are comfortable getting it all in there with then go for it and hope your hand is best. Keep going at it and you'll get t the final table soon enough.

Just play super tight in the beginning , if a person infront of you limps or raises fold unless you have AA,KK,QQ,AK,AQ,KQ suited any per above 99 , raise or reraise with those hands , if you hit flop continue if not just fold , you should get deep very often using this strategy ! gl

Some freeroll is good to practice poker, easy to go is the best.
Some freeroll is good to built bankroll, easy to ITM is the best.
ACR $10 freerolls easy to go, not easy IMT.
A good poker skill begins from right judgement, not only at table.

I like to play freerolls myself, but those are just brutal. Try to find some private freerolls to play in would be my advice.

dont be to hard on yourself those 10 freerolls are tough to do well in-just to go out on bubble is a feat in itself-at some point your luck will change and you,ll push thru the bubble-i know first hand you need lady luck a few times to cash in a freeroll-may the cards fall your way and gl

Hi guys. Give the $250 nightly or $500 on Friday free rolls on Fullflush a try. The Friday one pays 100 places and the others pay 60. I joined FF on January 14th and have made $8.40 towards my free BR. Lots of luck . Tal

Does BCP run their own separate FRs, in addition to being part of the $10 on-demand ones at ACR?

Roughly how large are the fields for these FRs? :)

Yeah I've cashed in those as well, but pretty sure you won't be able to cash out on FF unless you have made a deposit at some point. Also, I know a couple people that have been waiting for cash outs for 3 months now. They say they are under management change.

Full Flush is no longer viable to play on. When you play the ACR freerolls, you basically have to play super tight with a little luck involved. People will shobe with 27 off suit and end up with a straight, its ridiculous at times but if you play your hands, play only premium hands, you'll make it far. Unfortunately you have to play tight for most of the tourny. If you get a good chip lead early, you can bully a bit when you're in the mid game because 80% of the fish are gone yet you still have players that will shove on ridiculous hands. Freerolls are brutal but it is one way to build a small bankroll to g et into the $25 GTD tournaments and try for those which have a much better payout. Just learn patience, what hands to go big on, and how to read players.
