Hi to all,
*
I started poker and I have one question for you:
*
when I simulate on the pokerstoove equtiy AA vs KK preflop, the result given is 82% / 18%. Official statistics show 85% of propaganda to win all in preflop with AA in any situations (Heads-up).
*
What I do not understand is that such a strong AA vs KK loses only 3% probability of winning hand ...
*
I thought logically they fell 60-40 to the tops of equtiy when two pairs met.
*
Can anyone give me a little more detailed explanation please? it would help me to better understand how the game works

AA being best hand means a king would need to hit somewhere along the way, the king a card toward a straight for the aces. Third ace of course may come up also. this is also why lower pairs such as 7s have better chance against the aces. Mid range suited connectors have best chance because of the possibility of 2 pr, straight, and flush possibilities, closer to 22%. Small changes will also come into play depending on the suits you choose (AcAs against 7c8c compared to AcAs against 7d8d)

Generally speaking Overpairs vs. pairs preflop is basically 80/20

In a pair vs pair confrontation the lower pair can only win if it hits a hand superior to a pair such as a straight or flush (which will happen with a statistically sparse frequency), or if it improves to a set (which will happen with about the same frequency as the higher pair hitting a set). In most boards the lower pair is basically dead in the water.

ironically everytime I have AA someone else also has had a pocket pair all but 1 time and I've only won 11 of the 25 hands lol
Super small sample.

Erm I had a feeling few weeks ago I am getting screwed with AA vs KK preflop stackoffs, so I checked.

Sure enough:

1) When I had KK, I won 2/10 (20%), which is fair.
2) When I had AA, I won 5/9 (55%), which sucks.

Doesn't mean I intend to stop stacking off :D

The problem with AA is, you only have 2 outs to improve.

Well the problem with KK vs AA is KK needs to improve while AA don't, so I honestly don't understand this comment, plz explain more if you don't mind:confused:

I think he means you only have 2 outs to win with that hand not to improve it. KK has 2 outs to improve. It all depends what the flop brings :)
