It was rush poker so I didn't have any reads. I had around 3.50$ and the guy in question had 2.25$ or so.

I probably just check because other than a bluff, you really fold out nothing that has you beat. Btw, I know this is not what the thread is about but you should always try to have a 100bb stack. Your stack size makes it awkward to play certain hands etc.

Okay, thanks for the insight.

Here is the rest of the hand.

Dealer: atlantafalcons0 shows three of a kind, Fives
Dealer: duchMan08 mucks
Dealer: atlantafalcons0 wins the pot ($4.48) with three of a kind, Fives

(he had jack nine of hearts)

I think the shove is kinda excessive, nothing suggests that he is willing to play for that much. I like a big bet there but not so much.

I figured if he was dumb enough to bet min on the flop after flopping two pair, he's dumb enough to call all in with it on the river...

Yeah but nothing suggests he has 2 pair. You most likely going to see something like Jx and that is probably never calling a shove there.

You're right - I will work on that, I thought he had an ace to be honest...

Okay, so check the turn and v-bet the river??

How much?

How did you 'figure' this before you even saw his hand? (uncanny reading ability).
riverbet way too big imo... got lucky that villain played their hand poorly

Okay, I agree with you on the size of the river bet.

My bet size was so wrong - it was right!

;)

You sucked out, pure and simple. It's likely villain was gonna stack u and figured u for an Ax single pair. Your river bet looked like that so I don't mind the shove, but playing for stacks without huge hands is generally -EV.

You got lucky here, don't think otherwise.

On further review it's obvious villain was trapping for u having the Ax single pair.

However: SUCKOUTS COUNT !
