1. Once again, this is a terrible hand description. Who is the preflop opener and how many players saw the flop? Given the limited information we have, we can't possible evaluate this play.

2. If the spazzy villain opened this hand to $25, you should be 3-betting AK in position pre-flop 100% of the time --- which prevents you from being in this situation.

Make sure you add the positions for each player and the flop (cards). You are able to edit the post in the bottom right of the thread.

Once you do that we can give you our insight and opinions. Let us know if you have any trouble. :)

6 outs with what I presume are over cards. It all depends on what the flop is in general. For you to be playing $1/2 live cash games there must have been some serious raising going on preflop, and this should ring a few alarm bells with the possibility of someone easily having AA or KK.

If a dry flop came up 347 rainbow I'd be tempted to continue BUT! for my liking there seems like far too much raising preflop between the players.

well i would say you shold had raise before even getting to the flop
thats a really bad spot to be in the first place

since you already are at that point and with 6 over odds on a good day(becouse the villians can have A or K to) and since your counting odds you assume your behind the villian i would say to fold specially if your waiting for the river with 3 other players in it lol

ps: im not a math wizard but i think you cant really count odds if there are 3 players in the pot with you...for instance if your read isnt 100% right and you get the A on the river you can still lose to something like A3 lol not to mention flush and stright and tripes

I think it's probably a fold. Usually people don't bet with absolute nothing in a multiway pot. Someone could have paired their kicker with ace rag, in which case only your king outs are good, and you calling would price them in to call as well. It's just going to make a bigger pot that you'll have to run a high risk bluff to win.

First off, I would have 3-bet to 60-75 preflop. Second, what is the flop texture? If you have Ah Kd, and the flop is 238 all hearts, or even 2 hearts, it makes a small difference. Board texture, wet or dry, is how you really evaluate this situation. in most situations its a simple fold, but honestly it comes down to board texture and feel. I find myself trusting my gut, and it never seems to let me down. I remember calling a guys river bet with an ace high, we both missed heart flushes, but I knew he had nothing. He showed king high and I won a $250 pot, but I would have folded 99/100 times. Sometimes, you just know. If not, well then brush up on your skills and you'll find after you've encountered the same situation many times, youll start guessing right more :) Please though, give us the exact hole cards, and the flop, and even your guess as to your opponents cards. That stuff helps a LOT :) :eating:

Wheeww! Pretty bad position. Folding is a safe but costly play but calling may cost more.

The lesson I've learned from this thread is that if I am late position with one raiser, I should 3-bet with AK. However, with a multi-way pot, AK will probably lose, so I am happy with folding.

generally pretty weird joke. if you want to play with this hand, you will not need to call and had to immediately go all in or fold if you do not want to enter the game.
