Thanks for the response. You’re right - more often than not - in 6+, straights are ruled higher than sets even though, mathematically, sets are less common.
The 7+ variants I’ve been interested in are Pinatubo and Manila. I can’t seem to find hand rankings for them anywhere online and was hopeful I could get help figuring out if straights beat sets in these variants since Aces are high cards, only.
