I am curious to hear some thoughts from some of the more experience players on the site. Is there an advantage to playing a 6 Max table vs a Full Ring table? For a while now, I have played 6 Max tables, and have noticed that the variance is all over the place. However, I enjoy the game play more because there appears to be more action. Would it be more advantageous to slow the game down by playing at a Full Ring table, but adding tables to allow for more action?

Playing at a full ring table at low level stakes is easy and a great way to keep boosting your bankroll. Playing extremely tight is key. If you want more action I'd suggest multi tabling, it should be fine and you'll see twice as much action. You see a lot of people at FR tables playing as if they're playing a 6 Max table so it's really easy to take advantage. Remember, play tight! (And if there's one thing I've learned playing full ring, it's to get rid of those small PPs in early position!)

Thanks for the advice. I have always shied away from playing multi table because I like to observe the players around me (I don't use HUD software) so that I can take notes. But I tend to pick bad spots with a wider range of starting hands at the 6 max tables, and that can get me in trouble on the late streets of a hand.
