Sorry everyone for not responding to the thread I started. I have onlu just broken up for exam leave. Which means I should probably get some studying done between now and May 8th

If you want to talk strategy sometime after May let me know! I used to play mainly tournaments and 9max sngs but I have some experience in 6max too. My username is Roberto Smith on full tilt, I really can't wait for FTP to be back up for US players. :/
Hi Samuraihuang, Quitting in cash games is what I am worried about. I have actually been playing quite a bit of zoom lately and not really sure where my edge is as my HM2 stats don't cover a lot of the players. Despite beaking water, I can see that ending in tears along with normal 6max, however if I was to play cash it is probably going to be 6max or Zoom(6max on ipoker), unless people say it is an aweful idea.
The fullring idea really came from reading Nathan's book but as a few people have said, it isn't half boring and I know he has done some vids now on 6max and zoom so I will take a good look at them
Thanks a lot for the offer of help, I will amost definitely take you up on it after May

Also don't be afraid of posting questions about hands, even if they seem like basic ones or obvious spots or something. People will still help you out, and we all started out doing the same thing.
Yep going to try and focus on one format for the time being apart from playing the free rolls MTTs on Titan as I have to use up my points anyway for rebuys and add-ons as Im on a RB deal so my points just disappear at the end of the month if I don't use them.

But there is no reason why you cant switch between if u get sick/bored of either format.
No1 concern no matter which you choice is obvs keep studying. Post in HA section, watch videos, analyze your stats/hands, read books ect.
Thats good as I seem to be doing a little switching already

Anyway, I assume you are a microstakes player, so I suggest playing 6-max cash,
If you choose cash, 6max all the way, 9max will bore the hell out of you, as it's FULL of (mostly russian) nits. I got totally bored after a few weeks.
The reason I started with SnGs was probably because it has the simplest strategy at the lower limits that i was able to learn quite easily without the worry of going on tilt. I have flirted with cash and it will be 6max if I do go that route for a bit of variety.
I have no problems with quite long losing runs, which are expected in MTTs so I might even take up that route at some point because of the shear about of dead money that is in the pot.
So for the time being Im going to keep with the 6max SnGs and play some zoom just so I can get a lot of hands in a short space of time to drill home my starting hands, position etc. An also play some normal 6max cash.
And I will post some hands. Cheers guys
