The only time I generally play T5 is when I need to shove with ATCPlay T5, as you need either to make any straight.
So I gather that the answer to my question is no, the fact that having two 5s will hinder some opponents (especially ace huggers) from making a straight is not enough of an advantage to make them statistically better than 66 or 77, for example.5s are more useful than 44, 33, and 22
