5K hands... Beating the game? Or, running hot?

New player question; through 5k hands, playing the FR micros (2nl), with a 15/12-ish style, winning 18 BB/100 - is that enough to safely assume you're beating the game or is it just running really well?

Thanks.

5k hands I can barely play only 1k a day. too much play and I hope to be earning less than only 18/100

100k hands for a decent sample size? Seems a bit high to me and I'm not sure I'd wish 100k hands of 2NL on many :)

Actually I'm still at 2NL for cash (I play SNG's mainly) and I am going to review how I'm running at 5k and 10k hands and take it from there.

'Nother dumb question... what's a potripper?

Look up Potripper on YouTube, POTRIPPER was a super user account that could see all his opponents whole cards, and never lost a hand he played...

it was just a joke because if you really are running 18BB/100 that is super hot... and not a sustainable profit

If you're playing 15/12 and using PT/HEM then you're definitely a winning player at 2NL, heh.

18bb/100 isn't anywhere near sustainable though, even at that level. 5k hands is such a tiny sample as to be almost meaningless - even after 200k hands you can still quite easily be +/- 3bb/100 away from your 'true' winrate.

I ran at just under 25bb/100 for my first 7500 hands at 2nl. It was fun...

i played 5k hands yesterday, 24 tables 5 hours. anyway you are off to a good start, just make sure you dont get tilted when you start winning less or even lose, a BB of 18/100 is huge and you wont keep it up. good luck.

50K hands MINIMUM to even start to determine winrate. I've played over 5K hands in less than a day. 100K is really the holy grail.

Also, remember 15BB/100 and 15bb/100 are two different things.
