Here's some stuff you might want to consider. These are 7 principles taken from M. Hilger's book, 'Poker Mindset'. Reason I'm posting these are on account of thinking (assuming) that you're placing too much emphasis on the 'money' and the '
bankroll' instead of just trying to keep your focus on the game - learning the game, getting better, etc.
Pt. #3 here, Emphasize correct decisions over making money I think is very important.
· Understand and accept the realities of poker
· Play for the long term
· Emphasize correct decisions over making money
· Desensitise yourself to money
· Leave your ego at the door
· Remove all emotion from decisions
· Dedicate yourself to a continuous cycle of analysis and improvement
Hey, I'm in B.C. too.... Interior.. 'West Kootenays'. I'm gonna send you a link to a decent SNG Strategy Guide. I think you'll find it REALLY helpful (around 20pages of some good sound advice, providing a solid foundation for playing Winning SNG play).
GL!
Oh yah.. and stay off the cash tables unless you want to dedicate yourself to learning that style of play... it is different from SNG play in many ways.
