There are some people who won't fold pre-flop even if you go all-in.
There are others who won't fold pre-flop especially if you go all-in.
However, these same people in the same situation may fold after the flop.
Especially if there are a lot of people in the hand, when you want to go all-in pre-flop consider betting half your chips pre-flop and then the other half post-flop without a care as to what the flop is. The end result is the same (you're all-in before the turn), but you may be able to get those people to fold post-flop when they wouldn't fold pre-flop.
For this strategy it is actually best if you are first to act, or early to act, to eliminate the chance that someone else bets first post flop.
