I use Holdem Manager and and confused about the difference between the regular "Total 4Bet" (which I think is the % a player puts in a raises on any 3bet), and the "4Bet Range" stat. Does the latter more accurately reflect the actual range of hands he's 4betting with? How/why?

I've noticed that there's usually a few percentage points difference between the two. Let's say a player has a 4bet stat of 6 and a 4bet range of 2. What does this mean?

I'd guess 4-bet stat is the amount of times they have 4-bet given the chance. If they raise with 20% of their range and 4-bet with 2% of it then their 4-bet range would be 2 and their 4-bet stat would be 10. DUCY?

yah I think this is right.

think 4 bet total is a percentage as well though isnt it?

waiting for one of the stat regs to come on and tell me I'm wrong honestly..

Well I know that the regular "4Bet" stat is based on the number of all the opportunities to 4Bet, so basically the % of all times you face a 3bet and raise. Just from looking at most people's numbers, it's not uncommon for someone to have a much higher "4bet" stat (say 10 or 15) while their "4bet Range" is almost always really low, like 2 or 3). Still not exactly sure how this works though. Anyone?

I've noticed this recently too, rowhousepd basically asked the question I was going to ask.

So what are the opinions of others, I currently have 3bet % on my hud, the number always seems really high for. Do you think it's more acurate and/or useful to do away with the 3bet% stat and replace it with 4bet range?
