ok anyone play the 1.10 buy in 45 person sngs much...please tell me how you guys do and your experience............here is mine 2 out of five times i just get really freaking bored or antsy and just shove a short stack with any two conectors suited or not then lose then tilt then get kod...i never win with my marginal hands ...but always lose to them y is that ...anyway..then theres the the other 3 times when i play focused and TAG get to the final table then either lose right out of the money or in third or lower and lose to some mental paitient who seems to always win shoving with any two cards ...or raise with a suited ...strong suited ace..get my top pair and the flush draw and get douched by some jack arse who gambled 40 percent of their stack with some low pair and hits their set..i mean its sick how many times this has happened to me ...the only time i placed higher than third i just folded every thing and and got lucky with kings or aces .......and there always seems to be some jerk off who makes the final table who overplays their king jacks or weak aces as if you cant have a stronger ace or huge monster pair...ya short handed the strenght of those hands goes up but the likelyhood of running into monsters is still there ...but its funny how I seem to lose more with higher percentage hands that pretty much always either double me up or wins a good size pot during the tourney at the final table...tell me guys what your xperiences are and if your successfull most of the tiem in these tell me some srat Im learning as i play and would love to see what u guys think

I dont generally play big sit n gos like that, I usually just stick to single tables and MTT's...but if I had any advice I would play more hands early, I used to play alot of KO tourneys on Full Tilt, and I noticed the key to winning those is playing alot of hands early that way you can build a stack and play loose-aggressive...i feel loose-aggressive is the best way to play a big sit n go like that.

I've played a bunch of these. I have a 72% ITM and about a 20% final 3. They can be tough sometimes. You have to watch the table dynamics because at this low level some people think what the heck and will push with NE2 cards. Mostly tight in the beginning (I'll fold AJ out of position to a super large preflop raise) when the big blind get's to about $100-$150 then I try to loosen up a bit and try to steal some blinds but not with junk, I like to have something to fall back on. Final 15 players or so I loosen up a little more because most want to make the money and you can push a little more. Final table I play tight to see what everyone else is doing then try to move with good cards against the bigger stacks.
Remember these are small stakes and be prepared to take the bad beats like the guy who stays in on your KK 4x bb bet w/82 because they were suited and hit a set or flush. Good luck

Alot of the successful online (mid-stakes $25-$75) MTT players on Fulltilt multi-table the 45's as their 'bread & butter' game. You'll find a bunch of them playing the $26's & $75's, also some decent players in the $10's (but LOTS of fish in there too!).
I haven't played many of them but was considering giving them a go.
GL in them.

The best way to play those things is to play tight. There are so players in them that will get bored and as you said, get bored and just go all in with things like suited connectors. Just sit tight and wait for the hands that will usually be dominant over someone who is bored or just not good in general.

Play it like a normal sit + go table....
Start tight and get looser if the blinds increase...
You will have those bad beats a few times.
But those gamblers are the players that will loose most of the time!

I have played these tournaments for a while, and I have to say: there are many fishes over here. You shouldn't bluff there, bluff means nothing for these guys. They can call you with 3rd pair to the river. My strategy is to be little tight on first levels, and get more agressive later.

I actually disagree. In single table SNG, sure you should probably play tight in the beginning. But, I think in the beginning of the a 45+ person turbo SNGs you should be playing loose. I'll literally play any hand if it's cheap to play. And, when I do have a really good hand it's hard for people to put me on the hand. Or, if I hit a great flop, I.E. holding 72 with a 772 flop, people just don't put you on a hand like that. But, if you play this way you have to be willing to let go of the hand, even if you caught a nice piece of the flop. Then again I only play .25/45pl SNGs so it's probably a totally different strategy for $3+...

i just noticed the rake dropped on the $1 45man sngs. it used to be $1.25 now it's $1.10. i was crushing the $1.25s but now i'm like 0-15 on the new ones.

I play tight for the first couple of rounds to see the feel of my own table and of the whole tournament in general. If the table is loose, I let everyone else jump in and wait for a good position/hand to make a move. If the table is tight, then I try to take hands down with A or K.

I try to double up quick and wait around until there are two tables left. See where I stand again, then start getting aggressive with the low stacks. When it gets to one table, I will play tight and wait for the right position with the right hand. =)

I would advice to play tight during 1st level of the game as alot all in wuld be involved. when ante is up, start ur action by stealing blinds n aggro. during bubble time, try to spot weak folding players n stack them off.

Tight is Right! And use your position to your advantage! There's a lot of allins though the first couple of the blind rounds.

I have sat and not played a hand and still made the top 18! So you have some time to wait for something playable!

i build a tight image when i start,folding a -rags and 44's etc
then when we with like 35-38 people i loosen up,steal alot, play the a7's
more and bet big, sounds like a bad plan but really works, then when we in top 18 i tighten up and get loose just before the final table and build chips, final table if its a turbo i steal in late position or fold ,and when itm i go loose/agro and
try to out~price people, then if i get HU(usually often if i final table)
i try getting it al in with most aces above a7 and any pockets or kq's
its all a coin flip in the end,but thats 5$-$26,think it will
work in the 1$ too
GOOD LUCK!

Yeah I just trie one of these since the rake went down, and I got 4th to some Krag off maniac hand hitting a river K against my AQ or something. I just played really tight until I got some chips then loosened up a bit when the blinds got big. I saw all kinds of crazy suckouts though, but I pretty much see that everywhere in micro,

Isn't it better to play loose in the early stages? to see more flops cheap before the blinds increase?

Nope, see it goes something like this. You call BB, someone in mid-position goes all-in with utter crap. You have to fold. Then it repeats again and again until theres about 30 people left (in the 45 SnGs)
