The book: 0.01/0.02
Me: 0.25/0.50

Id rather play a little higher because grinding out 1 and 2 CENT stakes can make you go nuts lol It's bingo at those stakes.

well do you want to play cash or sng/mtt's?

Second with proper brm you would need to run like god with big volume to x6.25 a br in 18 days.....and fwiw should never make $$$ goals when looking to start grinding.

GL on whichever route you choose but yes for cash it would be 2nl, for sng/mtt's grind the 50c and below games.

Thanks for the replies everyone. i really like playing double ups. but the smallest double up on bovada is $5. so should i just start out in the $1 sng's until i build my bankroll up?

I play 2NL trying to grind up have been for a while, ABC is so robotic and boring, plus with all the books and studying I am doing it is training me for stakes higher as you can't even apply the strategy from them at the micros.I took a shot at a 25NL table and ran it up to $93 in a couple of hours (ran pretty well) but that shown me that I can play at 25NL no problem, so I have came up with a plan to deposit £20 a week while I am still grinding until I have around $800 then I will move to 25NL, is this a good plan and am I right in doing so?

I would play $3.50 sit n gos with 6 players. You would need to lose 11 times to go bust. However if you aren't used to sit n gos maybe play a few $1.50 buy ins to get the feel for them first. Ideally you would wanna play lower than $3.50 but I find $3.50 is the lowest I can play without feeling pointless.

I would start with 1$ sngs. I don't know how they play on bovada, but 250$ is pretty unrealistic. Did you ever play with real money before? Do you know, if you're winning player? Your first step should be trying to not lose all of your money. If it would be so easy, everybody would do that ;)

With $40 BR, have to find the smallest stake/buyin either cash or sng.

Good luck. 40 is a good bankroll starter.

Yes I would suggest you try running with the 1$ sng's as it would likely be your best option with such a small br and given that the lowest cash tables on bovada is 5nl (which would only give you 8 buyins, it would be a fairly high ROR to play cash).

Re your 25nl why jump from 2 up to 25? Typically taking a shot would be a buyin or two at the next limit (not 4 limits up, you jumped over 5, 10, 16 assuming we are talking stars) which would have been 5nl, you probably did something I always did with cash and that was tilt jump stakes and look to chase my losses.............this will surely end up with you busting. Also it sounds like with that successful shot you should be br'd for 5nl so why not grind it out and see if you can't grind your way up to 25nl..........I mean if you feel you can truly do well at 25nl then you should be able to grind through 5nl and 10nl in no time to get up to 25nl.

I would play $3.50 sit n gos with 6 players. You would need to lose 11 times to go bust. However if you aren't used to sit n gos maybe play a few $1.50 buy ins to get the feel for them first. Definitely don't do this, 11 buyins is horrible brm for sng's.........50 minimum IMO and 100 is better.

Also he isn't playing on stars, he is playing on bovada so I think they typically go 1.1, 3.3, 5.5 maybe.

Good luck. 40 is a good bankroll starter.

Not on bovada it isn't, the lowest game there is 1$ and I believe that is a 45man and maybe they have some 1.1$ mtt's so your talking 40 for mtt's/mtt-sng's its not absolutely horrible but certainly going to have a high ROR especially if op doesn't yet know if he is a winning player.

On stars this would be a great starting br because of the baby micro options available with 10c 360mans and 25c 45/90mans and 50c 9mans up to 360mans etc...........but US facing sites just don't have these kind of micro stakes.

What I normally do with 40$, I'd play 30 buy in .50/1 PLO and try to make it to 120$, it is not very hard if you play good and have a good run. Then if you succeed, join a 1/2 table where you can make the 130 into 200$, it could be at lot of work if you don't catch cards or you could lose if you have a bad beat.

Or join a 10$+1 tourney 3k or 5k gt, etc.. here you actually have to play really good to make to the cash but if you do, you can get way more than 200$, but as easy you could lose

Since I never play microstakes, I cant recommend you do

That was pretty much bang on mate yeah I was extremely fortunate but it paid off big time and now I have restricted my games on PS to 2NL cash and 0.50c MTTS, vowing never to be weak and tilt again, I'll lift the restriction to whatever my bankroll can manage once I get there and keep doing so.

My game is a lot stronger against thinking players.

Don't do this anyway that's for sure unless you want to be forever depositing until you hit that one time where you triple your buy in but then you'll have such bad BRM burned into your head that you'd end up jumping up a few more limits with nearly 90% of your roll on trying to do the same again......

Go about it smartly and you will make you money grow. Don't try and rush things and just play your best and let money coming to you :) Good luck

When I started and deposited $50 on Full Flush, I played at the lowest level until I got to $75 and then went up another level. I've got to 10nl and that is where I guess I will stay. It's really hard to build a big BR at these stakes, but still I have made 2 cashouts there. But right now, I'm back down to $75 now, so if it goes down so will I. Just have to do what my BR allows me to do.
