watched the first half of it (up to 45 mins or so), made random notes as I went along.
9:00 - I raise 55 (and any pair tbh) vs what appears to be a weak LP limp.
Agreed; limping is pretty weak there...not sure what my mindset was.
16:40 - Folding KQo UTG with two biggish stacked LAGs in the blinds is pretty standard
Agreed
General: Why not take notes in "xBBs" fashion as opposed to "x chips at y/z blinds" fashion?
Cuz I'm special. I just like to note the stage of the tourney as well.
25:05: Probably a fold w/A9 is standard here but with the two tightest players at the table in the blinds I would occaionally raise this (~25% or so). Just surprised you folded it without comment. Actually nvm, opponents stacks aren't ideal as you'd have to be calling 3bet shoves from half the table, but again, was just surprised you apparently autofolded.
Pretty much just a stack size thing there. Shortstacks commit me to a call if they push, and we're in a scary pot vs any other big stack who has pos on us
31:44: SNAPCALL! Dunno why you were so nervous about calling, you
crush the LAGfish's range here.
Prob just the late-stage jitters there. Was a little cautious of 67/89/set etc but the guy's a monkey, easy call there.
37:40: I probably steal with ATC from the button here with a bigstack on the FT bubble and with two v short stacks left in the tourney. Thought it was amusing you stole with 74o from the SB then folded J6o next hand OTB.
I actually prefer it over J6o. 74 at least has more potential postflop to hit something strong. It's also easier to get away from postflop - if we flop TP with J6o we might feel a little more committed than TP with 74o.
My opponents are also a lot more likely to play back if I've stolen recently, but I bank on that a little too much in my decisions sometimes :/
39:48: The thing is, a lot of the time they're not going to fight back. I like not to auto-assume people will get bored of me stealing in bubble situations and will play back, but instead wait for any actual indication that they're going to play back before tightening back up. You have the stack to absorb a resteal, and regardless, most of the time they
will just keep folding because they want to FT (look at that guy with like 4BBs who folded his SB when folded to, for example, heh).
v true; again I bank on that fact too much and you're probably right here. I've always put too much weight on my table image etc.
