3bet queries.

Whenever I 3bet a player OOP. For e.g Im holding AK. I didnt hit the flop should I CB?

This depends on the situation. How many people are in the pot with you? What is your read on your opps? What do you think their read is on you? If you have a tight image and have isolated an opp then yes. If you have a loose image you will probably get called down. If your opps are tight, play timidly, then yes.
There are other variables, just trying to give you a quick reference.

If your opponent is tight, you may want to 3-bet less often with AK in the first place since the range of hands you're facing is relatively narrow and you may not be favored against it. That said, you can 3-bet more often against weak tight players if they're capable of folding than against aggressive players or calling stations.

I concur with others. Howewver, if it is heads up I probably would, multi-pot I am checking.

I think the main question is how are you three betting OOP?

Are you limping with AK early and then three betting or three betting from the blinds?

Well think of it like this.

From the blinds you are in OOP so you shouldn't be getting involved with too many pots.

This being the case your opponent should realise and therefore respect your 3-bet more. So what does he call with?

So your decision to c-bet depends on what you think your opponents 3-bet calling range looks like.

A strong range probably means check and give up. (you 3-bet expecting him to fold.. he did not so that indicates he either has a big hand or intends to bluff to the felt on this one. You had a flop redraw .. i.e. hit an ace or k, that didnt happen either.)

A wider range allows you to c-bet.

C-betting should be done less frequently in 3bet pots if you miss because your range has already become very defined. i.e. JJ+ Ak

No A or K on the board means all 16 AK combinations missed. leaving 24 pair combinations. So QQ is ahead of your range.

If you c-bet too often you simply allow your opponent with QQ to call a 3-bet preflop, let you bet and then shove. By c-betting too often you allow an experienced opponent the chance to exploit you.

If your 3-bet range widens then your opponent can simply shove with lower hands.

So the question before c-betting a 3-bet pot, is what range of hands does my opponent call this bet with and how many of them have missed this flop?

Its opponent dependent.
