Guys what is your opinion on this... I blew few brs on zoom...
Wait for QQ just to see it cracked by A9o...
I made some mistakes ie bluffing on wrong spots... But biggest loses are coolers and bad beats...
Should i try regular tables instead?
Do you think regular tables are softer?

2NL is soft everywhere.

Reg tables can be softer but not really by much.

How many tables do you normally play? Do you have a hud ?

Read any types of books ?

I found the verneers uNL stuff was really helpful for me.

If you google "verneers uNL.pdf" you should be able to find it (if you are interested).

Sorry I automatically assumed you were talking about 2NL but if you're not just disregard my post lol. (Other then verneers stuff that is still worth a read if you have time)

While some people's win rates go up significantly due to changing games, it would take an unusual set of circumstances to expect that this will happen. Play zoom if that's what you enjoy most, but don't expect your results to improve without adapting your play appropriately and improving your game in general.

Zoom= either you win fast or you lose fast.
Regular = somehow you enjoy your money since it plays long.
I think regular is softer than zoom.
Goodluck...

Playing zoom, you can increasingly win blinds or just wait for a big preflop raise from one of the donks that are losing. I find myself very successful limiting myself to only 3-4 tables at once. I find that when playing one zoom game and really analyzing each table in that game, that every table is different. But it isn't high end poker especially in those smaller stakes, so I would give it a shot. Usually a good br booster

Zoom is harder than reg tables, winrates are lower than reg tables, the only plus about zoom is really the easy to start a session and the increased volume.

If we are talking about 2nl then can say i can beat both, but on reg tables i can get twice the winrate, i got 12bb/100 on reg tables where on zoom ended with 6bb/100.

But yeah both are beateable, just need to start geting hands on zoom regs to see ranges, still fish but less than regulars and zoom is really a setmine field/nuts game.

I never face so much set vs set situations on reg tables like you face on zoom.

After playing zoom try regular tables and going to feel games are lol softer, but also lol slow

reg tables will not be around in a few years if you ask me. Zoom is the only way to go. Good volume, good rakeback and you get more experience in less time. Meaning it gives you the chance to get good faster. and there are plenty of losing players zooming 24/7. Dont worry about it being harder or easier than normal speed tables. It certainly can be beaten.

There's ups and downs with both. I personally like Zoom due to the speed, but I have to say it is harder to win long term cuz of the majoroty of bad beats and coolers you have to endure.
You can spend hours to grind yourself up to 5 - 6 BI's and then you get aces, a guy with a bigger stack decide to go fancy and put you all in, and you happily put your money in there only to get beaten by a hand like AJ or something.
I've heard people making a steady profit from it so it isn't impossible.
Just hard.

I used to play alot of rush poker back when US players could play on Full Tilt. I found myself doing very good and the way I did it was by buying in with the minimum amount (I think that your stack size matters less in rush/zoom over regular tables). Once you double your buyin leave the table and come back with the minimum again and just play with that.

This was the best/most profitable way I found for me to play. Playing with winnings, you can't really lose.

Maybe thats the wrong way to look at it, but it was what worked for me. :)

Hi !

It really depends on what kind of player you are ...If you prefer quicker games with little more loose calling or you are the tight premium hands guy...

I do personally do prefer regular tables to zoom ones.

The main difference is that you wont need notes of players as they change too quick and you more depend on you cards reading ability....not how the previous hand played with this or that guy went...

The issue regarding which is easier to win ..it really depends on the game limit and how good you are compared to the other players at your table :) ...and when playing ZOOM I guess that more players you play against more crazy one ( Agressive calling station + Bingo players ) you have to deal with.

I would recommend that you try it and see if it fits you style and more importantly if it is profitable for you

So Good Luck @TAbles !
