I played a session of 2NL earlier today. I'm trying to build a roll from the micro's and I haven't played 2NL for some time.
I was completely taken off guard to be honest and got whooped. I was 2 tabling, 6 max. played about 90 mins. I've never seen so much straight forward ABC poker in my life. I'm going to have to make some adjustments.
I think I ran unlucky a bit too. Given the ABC nature of my opponents I should have been able to get more folds than I did, they just seemed to have a hand more often than what I think would have been standard.
Didn't seem like I was even catching anybody missing draws at the river or anything, if they were calling past the turn they had a decent hand. I caught on to that a little bit late. Probably started getting a little tilt happening too. Funny how so little money can get me so steamed lol.
Towards the end I was 3-betting stupid big and finally getting some folds. That seems to be what it takes at 2NL to get pocket 55's and rag Aces to lay down pre?
Any other advice for a return to the stakes?
