Hi, what is the best one to try out when learning the game while also making some money?

Should I learn FL first and break even or take a chance in NL....if I was to play in nl should I start at 2nl or go up abit higher....my pokerstars balance is $50

Thanks

2nl, you'll die of boredom playing limit.

Is nl advisable to play when you are just learning odds and outs, or would I be better learning that on FL?

Just do a bit of reading so you get the basics then play 2nl imo. You will pick it up as you go along. You'll get help here by posting hands or any questions you may have.

It depends. For instance, in FL, you'll often call bets when you know you're behind because of pot odds. And vice versa - people will call when you're ahead and then draw out on you because you can't bet enough to make calling mathematically negative. If either or both don't sit well with you, FL probably isn't a good fit for your personality.

ive never been a limit player ever, and yet i can safely say that playing limit at micro stakes would be retarded.

the beauty of micros is that there are so many noobs who will snap off any bet with any kind of hand. mathematically, this will often be correct in limit, whereas in NL, you will be able to punish them brutally.

2nl one table, take your time, and read plenty. Limit is horrendously boring and frustrating
