Hay!

So I got a couple of questions regarding poker in general, here we go.

1) I have been playing NL Cash for a while, resently I registerd for a turney and won $500! so I thought I should move up to 10NL from 2NL, so I did. It started out quite well, I won $80 over 7.5k hands, Now after 9k im down $10. should I move back down to 2NL or should I keep on playing 10NL? In 2NL I have never been playing good becuse of the fact that $2 is nothing.

2) After playing cash for 5 months and after winning that turney I were kind a intrested in trying out SNG but is it possible to go back from SNG to cash? I have heard that it is kind a easy to go from cash to SNG but not the other way, is that true?

3) Afer loosing alot the last week I have just been making more poor decisions not trusting my reads and not been able to lay down good hands even though I know im beat, becuse I cant trust my reads anymore. How can I fix this? becuse this is my biggest leak right now.

4) What are the best way to learn? How do I join a study group? or witch videos is the best? how did you learn? I just want to know what you think are the best way to learn the game and why? :)

It's not the best idea in the world to pick which stakes level you play based on the size of your BR, and even more so if you skip levels based on money you binked in a tournament. Doing so ignores whether you have the ability to move up.

It's not impossible to jump up a couple of levels and break even or win. But do you think your chances of doing so at nl10 are better if you jump up or if you prove you're a solid winner first at nl2 then nl5?

Man i dont know what is your BR, but you should go to SNG, play $0.25, If you have more than $200 go to $0.50 or $1.00 this metod is secure to dont undo your BR.
GG for you.

Listen to this man. When I got my first 1k+ score, I also jumped from not beating 10PLO to playing many variants of 25PLO(5 card, hi/lo, courchevel etc). I thought everyone was bad at these levels so I jumped but I was bad as well so I got smashed down back to my original BR after a while.

You may see some short term success but probably not a good idea to stay there just because you are rolled if you start bleeding money(which happened to me)

I don't know about cash to sng/sng to cash. I don't think I am good enough to win beyond micros at NL cash currently and haven't touched it in a while. But if you are a decent tournament player, you should be able to adjust to SNG play pretty easily imo. The one thing that I have trouble adjusting properly to is the bubble play because ICM is so significant in SNG, especially single table ones.

That said, micro buyin SNGs are very soft and even without close to optimal ICM decision making around the bubble, you should still be able to beat it handily by just doing some on the fly ICM considerations. Wouldn't hurt to give the lower buyins a shot imo.
