I'm feeling a little moronic right now. Could someone tell me what these terms mean? Is it refering to cash games? If it is, is it a reference to the BB or SB?

I believe it is the max buyin for a cash game. so if a person is playing .01/.02 at stars it would be called 5nl as that is the max buy in for that game. Or I am wrong and will learn right along with you.

You are correct that is it cash games however it is referring to 100BB(usually the max buy in). for example 100nl means .50-1 blinds

thanks everyone. There are alot of posts using these terms and I haven't gotten into cash games enough to learn them. I looked on the poker terms thread and didn't see them listed there. Thanks again.
