Any pair you should play because you can catch a set, full house, quads, a couple of cards vs AK, etc. all depends on how much you lose, all the chips or a small portion of your stack.

No!! A few days ago I played a 22 pair and another 2 appears to the flop. I won! I usually play it with small bets preflop and flop and if the third 2 does not appear, and there is a rise from other then fold.

I agree with the friend who sees the flop .... I pay the flop if I drop a 2 or not connectable cards I remain, more generally from the final positions, I do not open with that hand because it can have a significant increase and you can lose many chips only to see the flop .... more depends on the situation of the game :)

The question is a little bit abstract in my opinion.
You have to give us some information about the hand.
In cash games open/flatting is profitable.
In MTTs in early stages is also profitable for set mining while the blinds are small and stacks are 50BB+.
But in MTTs where you are deep and stacks aren't that big I believe that 22 are not so profitable to play(except from some situations you are)

Good luck at the tables!!

I usually stay for the flop with a pairs of 2s or 3s if it does not cost me too much to see it. Then if I happen to hook the third one I feel a lot more confident because most players don;t expect to see three of a kind in low cards at the end

If I am in the late positions in the table I raise or call up to 3BB only.

Otherwise I fold.

I had a similar story from the Cardschat freeroll, 3 way all-in pre-flop against AKo and higher pockets, I got my 2 on the river and got back to just over starting stack. Got knocked out shortly after though

The pair is a very good, 22 invisible set... just call and wait for flop...

You can play 22, but be aware that you flop a set 1 time out of 8.
So seven times out of eight you will have to check / fold your hand.

You can play the 22 if pot odds do not exceed 8 to 1 or 11% if I remember correctly

It's a junk hand for me, but I'm willing to check-call it to see the flop.

Play a pocket pair 22 without improving on the flop - is very expensive. The game with a pocket pair 22 is reduced to a simple strategy - fit or fold. If got a set - play further, if not - fold.

Depends on your position and opponents. If I am in early position with LAG players behind me, I will dump it. If I am in late with a bunch of limpers, I am set mining for sure. Depends what situation you are presented with.

Depends from the position of the table and from the cost of playing it,but if you are in position to limp with them you should do that.

It is only reasonable to continue it.
Or with coincidences.

you probably lost with a set versus a better set on the flop, right? If i'm right about this and if this was the case, i understand if you got frustrated, happened to myself a dozens of times but again, it's very unlikely to happen. When something like that happened to me, twice on a single day, i decided to fold low pairs preflop, even in the very early stage of the tournament. But what i realized is that it's not gonna to happen too often, seriously, you must be very unlucky to have that twice in a single day.
So, from my point of view, it's totally ok to call up to 3bbs anytime in early or middle stage of the tournament with low pairs, you could have your hand upgraded quite easily and sometimes, depending on the flop, it could be very hard to read
